In a back issue of Guitar Interactive Issues 9 & 10, Lick Library reprinted an interview with Randy Rhodes who suggested that he preferred light jazz over fusion jazz. Fusion was a form of jazz guitar (and other instruments) music throughout the 1970s. Santana played fusion jazz with latin rhythms back then didn't he?

Who is right? What type of Fusion jazz is being taught on the many Lick Library DVDs featuring Tom Quayle, Stuart Bull, Richard Smith, and Levi Clay? What are the origins of this "fusion" musical influence?
